About OutletPicks
An independent desk that ranks everyday products by real cost per unit.
The problem
Generic deal sites tell you what’s on sale. They don’t tell you that the “bargain” 250 ml body wash actually costs more per 100 ml than the bottle two clicks away, or that a jumbo pack of diapers works out to more per diaper than the smaller box on the same page. Sticker price hides the number that actually decides whether you’re overpaying.
What we do differently
- Real cost per unit. Every product is normalized to the unit that matters for its category — per ml, per quart, per lb, per diaper, per cartridge, per page. Sort by what you actually pay for what you use, not the number on the box.
- Big packs and small ones, same scale.A jumbo tub and a travel size land on one comparable number, so you judge true value instead of guessing which “deal” is real.
- Honest prices, no fake markdowns. We show the last-seen retail price on the merchant and rank by real cost per unit — never an invented “was” price or a made-up percentage off.
- Independent, no paid placement. No brand buys its way to the top. The order you see is the math, and commissions never move it.
The team
One person in public beta. We’re hiring no one and accepting no investor money — the only revenue is affiliate commission, and it never changes what you pay or where a product ranks.
Alex S.
Founder · Solo operator
Built the platform after spending months comparing prices across Amazon listings by hand — big packs against small ones, never sure which was actually cheaper per ml or per unit. Currently a one-person operation — engineering, moderation, and editorial all from the same desk in Monaco.
How we make money
When you click “Get deal” we send you to Amazon through our affiliate tag. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases — the commission is paid by the merchant, and your price is unchanged. If a link earns nothing, it still works exactly the same.
We never accept payment to rank a product higher, and commissions never influence the order. Sponsored placements, if we ever introduce them, will be labeled sponsored in the URL and on the badge.
Prices are the last-seen retail price on the merchant and they change often, so confirm the live price before you buy. For the live numbers — earnings, traffic, takedown counts — see our transparency report. For how cost per unit is calculated and prices are sourced, see methodology.
The data behind OutletPicks
Every ranking comes from a live catalog of hundreds of everyday Amazon US products whose prices are re-pulled on a rolling cycle and normalized to a real cost per unit — per page, per ml, per diaper, per quart. The person accountable for that data is Alex S., who runs the platform solo from Monaco; corrections and questions go to [email protected] and are fixed at source. Automated checks (rolling price refresh, out-of-stock reaping, sub-$1 and >20× glitch guards, and a drift check on our written numbers) keep the figures honest — the full process is on the methodology page.
